Positive thinking is a powerful thing. Your attitude can greatly affect the world around you, and you life specifically. I believe that optimism is one of the greatest qualities a person can have, not only for those around them, but for themselves. The way you think affects your whole body and your whole life. Its the idea of cause and affect. The universe gives you what you put out. Give off bad vibes and you will live a negative life. Emote positive vibes and put your dreams out into the universe and it will reward you. Trust me, it works every time.
One great way to sort of trick your brain into thinking positively is doodling. Write down or doodle positive thoughts and dreams. Take your time, and put some effort into it. Maybe spend at least 20 minutes focusing on your goals and physically putting them down on paper. By writing them down your brain spends time focusing on these positive things. Later on, you might forget about the goals, but your brain will subconsciously keep thinking about it and lead you in the right direction for success.
There is a little something I like to call the what’s next attitude. Something doesn’t work out? You didn’t get that job? Instead of dwelling on what you can not change, focus on the future. What’s next for you in life? Think of it as an opportunity to go out there and kick some ass. Something not working out this time simply means that you’re not where you’re supposed to be yet. The right thing will come along sooner or later and it will all work out for the better. Thinking about what’s next for you will leave you no time to think about what could have been. And if it didn’t work out, it just wasn’t meant to be. Keep moving forward.
Ask for what you want. The universe can not read your mind. Neither can people. Weird right? If you’ve been sitting around wishing something would happen, chances are it won’t happen until you ask for it. No one magically knows what you want. Going out into the world and asking for what you want gives you a way higher chance of actually getting it than sitting around wishing you had it. You will be surprised with how much positive feedback you get with this method. People love to help other people. They love feeling needed and like they have something to offer. You gotta just get out there and ask for it. The worst thing that could happen is that they say no. If they say no, keep asking. You may just be asking the wrong person. Be a go getter!
Here’s a reality check. Don’t cry over spilled milk. Okay so things aren’t going your way. Your day, week, or month may suck and you feel like you’re in a slump. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Chances are if you’re reading this it means you have electricity, a computer, phone, or tablet, clothes on your back, four walls to live in, and a whole lotta other things we take for granted. You know how to read and write, you speak the same language as everyone else around you, you have people that support you, food to eat, air conditioning, and so much more. So things aren’t going your way but look at all the amazing things that you do have. Your problem probably isn’t that big of a deal. The world didn’t end. The earth didn’t stop turning. Life will go on and you will be okay. Think to yourself, will this problem matter tomorrow? Next week? Next month? If you answered no to any of these then you can go ahead and relax because everything is gonna be fine. Keep your head up and stay positive 🙂
Try positive thinking for a while and you will notice your life start to change. Things will go your way. There will be less disappointment, and I bet you’ll be a whole lot more productive. What have you got to lose?
